New Ambassador of Azerbaijan Presents His Credentials

 

On 29.04.2005 the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Fuad Ismayilov presented his credentials to the Federal President of the Republic of Austria Mr. Heinz Fischer.

 

  Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Ismayilov was serving as Deputy Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the Council of Europe (January 2004 - February 2005).

 

Mr. Ismayilov has served in many capacities in the course of his career, including progressively as Second and First Secretary, Head of Division, and Acting Head of the Department for Human Rights, Democratization and Humanitarian Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan (1999-2004); as Attaché, Third Secretary, Embassy of Azerbaijan in Austria and the Permanent Mission of Azerbaijan to the international organizations in Vienna (1995-99); and as Senior Specialist, Consultant in the Executive Office of the President of Azerbaijan, Department of Foreign Relations (1992-95).

 

Mr. Ismayilov has a degree in International Law from the Faculty of International Relations and International Law, Baku State University, and a degree in Arabic and Arab Philology from the Faculty of Oriental Languages, Baku State University.

                                               

As a new Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the International Organizations, H.E. Mr. Fuad Ismayilov presented his credentials on 05.05.2005 to Mr. Antonio Maria Costa, Director-General of the United Nations Office in Vienna.

 

 

 

 

 

On 10.05.2005 Ambassador Ismayilov presented his credentials to Mr. Wolfgang Hoffmann, the Executive Secretary of the Preparatory Commission of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test-Ban    Treaty.

 

 

 

On 11.05.2005 Ambassador presented his credentials to Mr. Carlos Magariños, the Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization

 

 

  

 

 

On 19.05.2005 Ambassador also presented his credentials to Mr. Mohamed ElBaradei, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
